A GOOD CAUSE – AND PERSIANS!

May 20, 2021

Hospice Northwest is a non-profit community hospice organization that began in 1986.  Their specially trained palliative care volunteers provide emotional and spiritual support for end-of-life clients and their families in their homes, hospitals or long-term care facilities.

The 10th Anniversary Hike for Hospice is being held from May 28 to 30.  This is a Virtual Hike where you are encouraged to walk whenever, wherever you feel most comfortable during those dates.  At the same time, Hospice Northwest is also holding an online auction with some very attractive prizes: https://www.32auctions.com/HikeforHospice.

As a way to raise monies for Hospice Northwest, the Persian Man has offered to donate a portion of the sales of their delicious RED Icing Persians to the Hike for Hospice! They can be purchased at two locations: 899 Tungsten Street and 400 Balmoral Street.  We at OA cannot say no to a charity we hold close to our hearts (nor a Persian) so frankly it was a perfect match for us.  Below are (from L to R) Hayley Yorke, Rosanne Stasiewicz, Liz McLeod and of course Ozzie, who was sincerely hoping the platter of Persians somehow fell on the floor.
